A round-table discussion on nuclear safety knowledge networking will be sponsored by the Japan Nuclear Energy Safety Organization (JNES) in cooperation with the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security (NS) - Safety and Security Coordination Section (SSCS), IAEA. At this event, the experience and good practice on the development and future of global and regional knowledge networks mentioned below will be shared.
- Global Nuclear Safety and Security Network (GNSSN)
- Asian Nuclear Safety Network (ANSN)
- Ibero-America Forum of Nuclear and Radiation Safety and Security Regulatory Agencies (FORO)
- Forum for Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa (FNRBA)
- Arab Network of Nuclear Regulators (ANNuR)
The round table discussion will also explore enhancement of collaboration and coordination among global and regional networks, international/regional/national Capacity Building Centres and technical and scientific support organizations (TSO) for continuously improving "Capacity for Capacity Building" of IAEA Member States in the "nuclear renaissance" The discussion will take place from 14:00 to 17:00 in Conference Room M7, Ground Floor ("M7") Buffet-lunch offered by JNES will be served to the participants.
