Message from new ANSN Programme Manager , IAEA
I became the ANSN Programme Manager on 1 April 2011 following the accident in Japan. In times of crisis, we come together and networks
such as the ANSN are powerful tools for providing support. It demonstrates what can be achieved when there is a willingness to cooperate with a clear,
shared vision. The ANSN is based on the understanding that communicating, exchanging, pooling, analysing and sharing existing and new knowledge and practical
experience in the field of nuclear safety is an essential tool to facilitate sustainable nuclear safety activities.
For more details, please visit here: What is ANSN
The ANSN also attaches strategic importance to strengthening cooperation with other regional networks and fora, Ibero-American Forum of Nuclear
and Radiation Safety and Security Regulatory Agencies (FORO), Forum for Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa (FNRBA) and the Arab Network for Nuclear Regulators (ANNuR).
The ANSN has gone from strength to strength. If we cooperate we are stronger and can achieve more, and in my role I will continue to
assist in further strengthening the network and help the development of similar networks in other regions.
